So last Saturday 12^th may, I went to see Daniel Merriweather at the Phoenix Public House in Brunswick, It was a small Acoustic gig. I have always been a big fan of his stuff, its often the music I play at my shows between sets, however, I always in my head pictured it to be very produced, so I wasn’t sure how a stripped back acoustic show would sound…
I was amazed, The video’s don’t show off how amazing a singer he is. He went from an artist I ‘liked’ to an artist I admire and aspire to be as good as.
He had good bop along tunes, great emotional ballads, humour, but mixed in was a relist who liked poetry and reading. Well worth watching, and well worth listening too. I have uploaded 2 songs from the night on my new youtube (I made a new one just for other singers, rather than putting them on my singing channel)… Enjoy

Dead end.

Life is full of dead ends.
It’s the circle of everything around us. Everything starts, and ends.
Sometimes it seems like a lot more ending than starts.
The biggest issue, is when we reach that dead end and don’t know what path to take, or the only path is walking backwards.

Life needs street signs. Please.

Late night blogger…

I am a horrible sleeper, and because of this, there is a high chance I will do many late night blogs. Most will be boring, but, maybe someone will find them interesting.

Who am I? I’m a singer, songwriter from the Mornington peninsula in Australia.
Music is my full time thing right now, as I was made redundant from my work a few months ago.

I haven’t yet perfected the site, or found if there is an easy way to know when I make posts, but for now, just check back from time to time?

Anyway, boring today, sorry.

Honestly? the Old Video’s?

Well, I will be honest, in my mind I was thinking DELETE! DELETE! when watching back videos from a few years back… Off key notes, bad techniques, but, alas, I decided the vocal Journey is one of growth, and they help show it…
Its a shame for anyone who watches an old video first, because they may not decide to watch any more. but for anyone looking from the present back to the past, you can see the huge gain in my ability’s as a singer.
For now, they are staying online for you to watch, maybe once I have more video’s I will be picky on them, for now, I wont watch them, because I hate the sound of me in them, but if you enjoy, enjoy, if you don’t… then don’t watch old video’s of me… simple.
